We are seeking a dedicated Band 6 CAMHS/ Neurodevelopmental Practitioner to join a dynamic CAMHS Autism/ADHD team in Shrewsbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to provide essential support and care to children and adolescents aged 5-18 years.

Role Overview:

As a Band 6 CAMHS/ Neurodevelopmental Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in our multidisciplinary team. Your expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and ADHD interventions will help us deliver high-quality care to our patients. You will be responsible for triaging referrals, conducting psychosocial and standardized assessments, contributing to diagnostic discussions, providing feedback to families, and preparing diagnostic reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive ND assessments within the CAMHS framework, focusing on children and young people with social communication and interaction difficulties.
Conduct ADHD assessments, integrating complex data from psychological measures, rating scales, structured observations, and interviews.
Lead and contribute to Autism assessments using tools like ADI-R and ADOS.
Ensure all assessments align with NICE Guidance and other relevant standards.
Maintain high personal standards in clinical practice.
Prioritize and manage workload effectively, including delegation and cover for various priority levels.
Make informed clinical judgments and recommendations in collaboration with multidisciplinary staff.
Stay updated on national, regional, and local developments in Neurodevelopmental and mental health services for children.
Position Details:

Title: Band 6 CAMHS/Neuro Practitioner
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Location: Shrewsbury
Start Date: Immediate availability preferred
Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)
Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in psychosocial and standardized assessments.
Strong background in ADHD and Autism diagnosis and interventions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Up-to-date knowledge of clinical developments in Neurodevelopmental pathways and children’s mental health services.
Familiarity with relevant NICE Guidance and local/national documentation.
