Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Financial Controller, you will be pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of all financial and management information across the business. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Monthly Management and Project Accounts for both the US and UK business.
- Preparation of Operational Board reporting for UK and US performance on a monthly basis.
- Ownership of project accounting and attendance at project WIP meetings.
- Development of Finance project involvement from bids/tenders to completion.
- Annual budget and quarterly forecasting process, including rolling forecasts.
- Implementation of financial accounting and controls within the business.
- Management and development of Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll alongside three team members.
- Support tax planning for the UK and US businesses, with a focus on R&D.
- Statutory Accounts preparation and coordination with external Auditors.
- Year-end Audit and development of Business Support throughout the business.
- Support the US Finance Team and MD on an ad-hoc basis.
What You Bring to the Table
- Qualified or QBE - CIMA/ACCA.
- Experience in a consultancy or similar business.
- Project accounting understanding.
- High level of Excel capability.
- Sage 200 experience desirable.
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff, including engineers.
