Trainee Storeperson
We are currently recruiting a Trainee Storeperson for our client based in Aberdeen.
We are looking for someone with a small amount of experience or the right skill set and drive, looking to move into such a role.
The Trainee will be supported by Warehouse Leads and a Supervisor in terms of training and guidance around the job requirements.
Duties will include:
▪ Rotational warehouse duties required within the warehouse (goods inwards, imports, shipping).
▪ Operating Forklift within the warehouse and outside in yard.
▪ Check goods inwards from suppliers and worksites
▪ Locate stock into designated areas.
▪ Pick items for shipping.
▪ Assist with cycle count and stock taking when required.
▪ Assist Warehouse Management with inventory reconciliation and inventory issues.
▪ Prepare items for shipment to worksites.
▪ Driving duties as/if required for local collections and deliveries.
▪ Book out equipment/spares to workshop personnel and to job sites.
▪ Participate in weekly 6S audits when required.
Candidates will be required to have a full (ideally clean) driving licence and if they have some forklift experience/qualifications that would be advantageous, as is similar with the dangerous goods training. However, not a deal-breaker if not and our client can provide full training for this.
This is a permanent full-time position - 40 hours per week. 08.00-16.30 with a half hour lunch break, with the option of two 15-minute unpaid breaks. Overtime is not required or expected for this position.
