THE ROLE - Production Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production or Manufacturing Engineer with experience working within the Electrical and Electronic Engineering sector to join a thriving and growing business in the development of complex systems.

As a Production Engineer you’ll be a solutions specialist or problem solver that thrives in busy work environment, where the technology is constantly evolving.

You’ll need to have a background in high reliability electronics or Printed Circuit board manufacture and be confident working with small batch complex product manufacture.

DUTIES - Production Engineer

Be the link between internal departments and third-party manufacturers.
Develop processes and procedures such as Test Procedures and General Assemblies.
Utilise general and bespoke test equipment for product testing.
Build, develop, lead and manage a small team of Technicians.
Technical support when problems occur before, during and after production.
Ensure effective transition of product designs into manufacture.
Supports the onboarding of new third-party manufacturers.
Identify ways to improve quality and reduce production cost.
Ensure the consistency of supplies parts from approved suppliers.
Point of contact for suppliers to review production or manufacturing issues.
Liaise with suppliers for quality issues/queries/NCR's for established products
Undertake First Article Inspections (FAI).

BACKGROUND- Production Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Familiar with PCB manufacture.
Experience with Electronic/Electromechanical assemblies.
Able to multi-task and prioritise.
Low volume, high value production background.
Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
