Job Description

As a Storeman/Labourer, you will be responsible for managing inventory, maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse, and assisting with general labour tasks as needed. Your role will be vital in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and capable of performing physical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload goods safely.
Receive, check, and organize stock deliveries.
Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks.
Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
Assist with packing and preparing orders for dispatch.
Support the team with general labour tasks, including manual handling and assembly.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Report any discrepancies or issues with stock or equipment to the supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the warehouse.

Requirements:

Valid counterbalance forklift license is essential.
CSCS
IT skills with confidence using Microsoft Office
Proven experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Basic computer skills for inventory management.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Knowledge of health and safety practices in a warehouse setting.
