The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Production Engineering Lead?

Production Support for Sonobuoys:
Lead and coordinate engineering support to Production.
Address supply chain and production issues, primarily mechanical and electrical.
Oversee production acceptance activities through range testing.
Assess and resolve production and range failures.
Serve as the Engineering Lead for maintaining in-service Sonobuoys, including managing obsolescence and maintaining drawings/documentation.
Act as the engineering lead with customers, presenting design changes and modifications.
Manage Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) aspects, such as stock management and refiling.
Provide technical support to customers for Sonobuoy usage and associated systems.
Lead design and trade studies as required.

What are we looking for in our next Production Engineering Lead?

Proven success in engineering management and team leadership.
Foundation in Systems Engineering with an understanding of Software Engineering; background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
Experience in producing engineering schedules with dependencies.
Ability to estimate engineering tasks, review, challenge, and justify estimates.
Skilled in managing risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, and opportunities.
Experience with Work Package Management is ideal.
