Purpose of the Role:
To estimate and manage projects including commercial, technical and scheduling activities whilst acting as a focal point for clients. Tendering and delivering successful, on time and on budget projects that leave the client satisfied. Bringing experience together with a positive attitude towards all colleagues, clients, and suppliers. Setting good expectations for others to follow and to show the willingness to progress.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Responsible for Health, Safety and Environment across all Dundee operations complying with best practice, company procedures, risk assessments and legal requirements
* Promote a proactive commitment to TEXO improvement initiatives
* Fabrication estimating and preparing quotes based on the enquiry received to deadlines
* Source and order materials and services necessary for completion of projects ensuring customer specifications and requirements are detailed and correct certification is requested
* Arrange & hold Kick of Meetings (KOM) with all key and relevant personnel involved
* Hold & attend any necessary Management, Project and Client meetings with relevant personnel when required
* Management of Project Budget, Project Reporting and Project Schedule
* Cultivate and develop customer and supplier business relationships
* Ensure all contract requirements and client expectations have been fully understood through Contract Review process
* Prepare and distribute Job Card documentation to production team
* Liaise with cost control team to ensure information is current to facilitate accurate decision making
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, safely, within specification and within budget ensuring that variation management is completed in a timely manner
* May be requested at times to perform other tasks and work additional hours in abnormal situations to ensure customer requirements achieved
* To mentor, coach and provide experience to the junior members of TEXO Engineering & Fabrication
