Cost Clerk - Melton Mowbray
Anderselite is looking to hire an experienced cost clerk for our client’s site team located in the Melton Mowbray area.
Role Overview:
Your primary responsibility will be to input and report weekly plant and material costs within RDP.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Cost Manager, you will:
- Enter weekly plant & material tickets into the Oracle Costing System
- Collaborate with site teams to review Purchase Order Status Reports for any missing tickets
- Generate and distribute weekly cost reports to site teams and SSC
- Utilize the WBS Coding Structure effectively
- Address invoice queries by coordinating with suppliers, the procurement department, site teams, and SSC
- Review aged plant & material accruals
- Verify site plant books and supplier live hire reports against plant reports
- Perform filing and general administrative duties
- Adhere to company procedures and policies
Health, Safety, and Environment:
- Following the Safety Policy and Environmental Policy
- Prioritizing health and safety in all tasks
- Reporting safety issues responsibly and helping to enhance practices
Quality & Document Control:
- Implementing Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies and Targets
- Complying with BMS processes and suggesting improvements when needed
Candidate Profile:
- Proficient in Excel, with the ability to create and analyse pivot tables
- Experience or interest in construction/engineering
- Must have own transport
Education and Qualifications:
- Strong background in Maths, preferably with a higher-level qualification
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and internet use
- High attention to detail and accuracy in monitoring data
- Good interpersonal skills for obtaining raw data
- Logical and methodical approach
- Dependable and curious
- Ability to meet deadlines
