Brook Street are excited to support our Public Sector client in their search for 3 Admin Officers on a long term temporary basis.

The Insolvency Service is a leading Government agency which plays a crucial role in providing essential services to the public and to business. The work we do is important to support thousands of people each year who are in financial difficulty and for the proper functioning of markets and the economy in general.

Job description:

Our A2(AO) case officers work as part of busy operational delivery teams providing administrative and customer service functions across a range of different services provided to the public by the Business Services Division.

This role provides the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge and skills in the following areas:

Working as part of an administration support team managing a variety of work tasks including processing claims and applications from the public.
Providing excellent customer service.
Answering a broad spectrum of customer enquiries.
Dealing with members of the public, private sector firms (e.g. solicitors) by telephone, letter and in person.
Researching information and making decisions based on available evidence, legislation, protocols and procedures.
Liaising with specialist staff on technical matters.
Inputting and updating information on office databases and case management systems.

Job specific details:

Location - Newcastle, City centre (Civic Centre)
Office based - Fully office for couple of weeks, then goes to 60% office attendance
Start time -TBC
Finish - TBC
Hours per week - 37 hours
Start date - 24th June onwards
End date - 23rd March 2025
Rate of pay - £11.53

Person specification

To be successful in this role you will have a motivation for learning, be highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks, and have a can-do positive attitude. You will need to be flexible in approach and can multi-task. You must be confident in using Microsoft packages, such as outlook. Demonstrate excellent Administration and Customer service skills.
