Henry Martin is assisting one of the oldest family-run businesses in the UK in their search for an experienced Bid Writer. Their commitment to excellence and personalized service has made them a trusted name in the industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, writing, and coordinating all bid documents to secure contracts primarily within the public sector. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in bid writing and a proven track record of success in winning public sector tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Bid Coordination: Manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring all timelines are met and submissions are of the highest quality.

* Document Preparation: Draft, format, and proofread all bid documents, including proposals, PQQs, ITTs, and supporting documentation.

* Public Sector Focus: Leverage your extensive public sector experience to understand the requirements, regulations, and expectations unique to this market.

* Compliance: Ensure all bid submissions comply with the client's specifications, as well as legal and regulatory standards.

* Stakeholder Management: Liaise with key stakeholders, including internal departments, external partners, and clients, to obtain necessary information and approvals.

* Continuous Improvement: Review and analyze feedback on unsuccessful bids to improve future submissions. Maintain a library of bid documentation and templates for future use.

* Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and potential opportunities within the public sector.

* Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on bid progress, success rates, and key learnings to senior management.

Our client is seeking an individual with a proven track record in securing contracts within the public sector. The ideal candidate will have exceptional editing and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail, as well as strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.
