HGV Mechanic

Pertemps is exclusively representing a fantastic client who is seeking a dedicated HGV Mechanic. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the fleet of vehicles is ready to respond to vehicle breakdowns promptly, assisting the valued customers in getting back on the road efficiently. This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced working environment, ideal for individuals with a flexible approach to work.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, in addition to maintaining the fleet, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills through specialist recovery & rescue training. There's also potential to obtain your L/HGV driving licence if desired.

Experience Required:

Minimum 2 years as an HGV Mechanic (preferred)
HGV Level 3
DBS (preferred but not essential) 
Job Specification:

Conducting inspections, service routines, and repairs
Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in various vehicles
Completing vehicle safety inspections to the highest standards
Contributing to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop environment
Preparing vehicles for MOT and presentation for testing
Ensuring personal and team safety while minimising the risk of injury and vehicle damage
Ordering and sourcing vehicle parts, managing emails, word processing, and conducting web-based searches.
Carry out fundamental tasks associated with removal and replacement procedures on a vehicle.
