Are you a mechanical fitter with experience in an industrial environment? Do you want to join a fast-growing company? This company is looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical Fitter to join their small engineering team in North Oxford. This is a short-term contract that offers an excellent hourly rate of £20-£25 per hour based on experience.

What You Will Do

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be involved in building and installing industrial systems, both at the company's development unit in North Oxford and at customer sites. Your main responsibilities will include:

Working on and installing industrial equipment, pipes, valves, tanks, and mechanical structures indoors and outside
Interpreting engineering drawings and engineering instructions for the physical build of a new system
Using workshop equipment to build systems
Preparing RAMS and other site-specific requirements for working on a customer's site
Working within the Engineering Team and providing excellent customer service when at a customer's site
Applying an appropriate level of urgency to escalations and requests for information
What You Will Bring

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Experience working on and installing industrial equipment, pipes, valves, tanks, and mechanical structures indoors and outside
A mechanical or process engineering qualification
Experience of working on a customer's site, preparation of RAMS and other site-specific requirements
Effective hands-on skilled fitter with good practical skill levels with experience of pipe fitting in an industrial environment
Good communicator and relationship builder with colleagues and customers
Location

This role is based in North Oxford, with work also taking place at customer sites.
