My client has established themselves as one of the most reputable commercial office fit-out M&E contractors in London. They are renowned for delivering tier 1 fit-out projects for tier 1 clients. The business has a prudent approach to increasing turnover over the next five years, supported by a robust growth plan, sensible investment, and repeat business. Following a sustained period of growth over the past three months, they are looking to recruit a Electrical Estimator to join their operations team.

The Electrical Estimator will be client-facing and take a hands-on approach to managing my client’s pipeline of work. They will be responsible for overseeing tenders by researching and gathering all relevant information, securing work for the company by completing and submitting competitive tenders.

Role/Responsibilities:

* Undertake tenders by reviewing and completing tender forms, ensuring they meet the given specifications. Evaluate tenders and provide pricing in a timely manner.

* Maintain professional working relationships with clients and sub-contractors.

* Obtain estimates and prices from sub-contractors and suppliers.

* Prepare and issue tenders in accordance with the provided tender documentation.

* Conduct site surveys.

* Edit design drawings.

* Follow up on tenders and assist with securing projects.

* Provide leadership for continuously improving the estimating process.

* Possess knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate:

* Has 5 years’ experience as an estimator within M&E building services.

* Possesses good technical knowledge of electrical building services.

* Has experience working in the office fit-out sector.

* Has experience working on projects valued at approximately £1 million within their own discipline.
