MERITUS are working with a global defence company looking for an Electrical Test Architect to join their Stevenage site on a contract basis. The contract will run for an initial 12 months with extensions highly likely.

If successful you will join an experienced team working to design secure test architecture for missile systems. The role includes determining the project test equipment needs, managing the requirements for test equipment and managing the development through delivery and into service.

Previous experience designing test architecture for missile or similar weapons systems would be highly desirable but not essential. So if you're an experienced Electrical / Electronics Test Engineer with strong exposure to designing test architecture & managing test equipment then we would like to hear from you

This role is based in Stevenage & the company operate a hybrid working model with 2-3 days per week onsite. Please note candidates must be eligible for SC Security clearance.

Main Responsibilities:

Defining and implementing the project test strategy.
Defining and implementing the project BIT architecture including coverage requirements, BIT timings and system level BIT routines.
Generating and managing compliance to the lower level test requirements placed upon design teams including test access needs, BIT coverage/timings and factory test functionality.
Analysing and modelling the system to understand the test coverage and generate diagnostic instructions.

Required Skills:

In depth experience in Electrical / Electronics engineering within a highly regulated industry (Aerospace / Defence preferred).
Digital electronics and microprocessor systems.
Analogue electronics.
Electronics testing.
Test equipment design.
Eligibility for SC Security Clearance.
