Build Recruitment are working with a leading FM service provider to source a permanent Electrical Engineer (Shift Lead / Continental Shift Pattern) - London - £52k + £1.7k HV/AP Allowance.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Electrical Engineer Shift Lead will be responsible for all matters High Voltage (in addition to regular electrically biased duties) as well as overseeing one shift team member within a mixed-use commercial property.  

Key Responsibilities:

Working on a Continental Shift Pattern on a Commercial Site.
Provide technical management reports as required.
Support critical environment related technical audits.
Operate within annual engineering budgets for the maintenance and repair of the services.
Responsibility for ensuring all critical related engineering maintenance documentation/records are kept in clearly identified and retrievable systems.
Advise the Facilities Management Team of changes in critical environment requirements.

Key Experience / Qualifications:

You must have an Electrical qualification (apprenticeship, HND, C&G etc.) – Essential
18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations – Essential
Current or Previous High Voltage (HV) certification – Essential
Operational experience of UPS, Standby Power, and Critical Environment Cooling – Essential
Contract/Supply Chain Management Skills – Essential
Stakeholder Management – Essential
Excellent communication skills at all levels – Essential
Previous experience in operating data centres/critical environments – Desirable
IOSH or equivalent H&S training – Desirable
Understanding of water hygiene (L8) – Desirable
BMS Controls experience / HVAC experience – Desirable

In Return:

Salary: £52,000
Pension: Up to 5% matched.
Once HV training is completed you will receive the following annual premium: £1,700 per annum
