Aviation Recruitment Network have a fantastic opportunity for experienced Transport Planner to work for a leading cargo company in Colnbrook, Slough. They are one of the biggest cargo companies in the UK and are currently looking to hire for multiple shifts and roles. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a team of drivers and will understand driver regulations and shift planning as needed.

This is a fixed shift pattern from 4on4off (Apply online only) . Salary of £30k up to £35k.

Transport Planners will will receive:
• Full training
• Incentives once completion of probation
• Progression opportunities long term within the company
• Ability to upskill

Transport Planner duties and expectations:

Plan collection/delivery jobs on vehicles/drivers
Prioritise drivers’ work to ensure all jobs are completed in a timely manner
Ensure that all customer requirements are adhered to (e.g. time-constrained jobs)
Follow and enforce all internal procedures to ensure compliance
Prioritise incident prevention
Report all incidents or potential hazards immediately (anonymously if required)
Always adhere to all security procedures
Keep in regular contact with drivers to monitor journeys and any potential issues. Including providing drivers information on aspects such as traffic problems
Keep in regular contact with customers and other Trilogy Freight depots to inform them of any issues
Where required, plan jobs on drivers throughout the day to fit in with a driver’s run
