Railway Telecoms Tester

Our client, a leading company in the Rail Communications sector, is currently seeking a Railway Telecoms Tester to join their team. As a Railway Telecoms Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of FTNx / IP networks, transmission, and copper testing, with a preference for experience in fibre testing. This is a permanent position that involves working on railway sites throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive testing and maintenance of railway telecoms systems
Conduct testing and troubleshooting on FTNx / IP networks, transmission, and copper
Preferably experienced in fibre testing
Work collaboratively with the team to achieve project objectives
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Travel to various railway sites across the UK

Job Requirements:

PICOT (Person In Charge Of Testing) qualification is essential
Significant experience in railway telecoms testing
Experience in FTNx / IP networks, transmission, and copper testing
Preferably skilled in fibre testing
Sentinel PTS qualification is required
IRSE qualification is preferred, but not essential
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
