We are looking for a passionate and ambitious manager to join our team in Swaythling.

Paint Pots has been established since 2000 and now has 6 nurseries and 7 pre-schools in Southampton and Hampshire, well known for having an inclusive, loving and homely environment which is safe, secure and stimulating. Key Responsibilitiesof a Nursery Manager:

·To ensure the effective daily operation of the nursery, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.

·To inspire and lead the team to deliver high quality care and education.

·Foster positive relationships with children, staff, families, and the local community.

·To ensure that the nursery consistently meets the requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage, continuously monitoring, and striving to improve quality in all areas.

·To manage the effective financial operation of the nursery, including occupancy and budgets.

·To ensure Paint Pots policies and procedures are embedded in practice.

The core requirements for the job role of a Nursery Manager:

·Experience of managing either in a setting or a senior position in a setting.

·Understand and have a good knowledge of the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, the Inspection Handbook, Ofsted and Local Authority requirements.

·To manage a staff team effectively.

·To manage day-to-day financial operations within the setting, by meeting financial targets and managing the occupancy ensuring maximum capacity.

·Support the senior management team and Paint Pots to develop the setting and company.

·To monitor and assess the quality of provision ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained.

·Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years.

·Enhanced DBS check and disclosure required and registered on update service.

·Have a sound knowledge of safeguarding reporting procedures.

·To be the named Designated Safeguarding Lead for the setting, training will be provided.

Essential Criteria of a Nursery Manager:

·Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification

·Level 2 maths qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to complete within 2 years of starting the position.

·Experience in a leadership role

·Understanding of special educational needs and equality of opportunity

·Sound knowledge of Safeguarding

·Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation stage and statutory guidance

·Excellent Communication Skills

·Passion for delivering high quality childcare and education
