Key Responsibilities:

Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project, from tender through to final account.
Prepare accurate cost estimates, forecasts, and valuations for large-scale civils and highways schemes.
Oversee the procurement of subcontractors, materials, and suppliers, ensuring best value and compliance with project specifications.
Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
Negotiate and manage contracts, resolving disputes and ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
Monitor site activities, ensuring costs and risks are effectively managed and controlled.
Work closely with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive commercial efficiency.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within major civil engineering and highways projects, ideally for a Tier One contractor.
Strong understanding of NEC contracts and their commercial management.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, with a focus on cost control and maximising project profitability.
Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying, construction, or commercial management (HNC/HND/BSc or equivalent).
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site.
