We’re delighted to advertise a fantastic opportunity for a Screening Nurse to join our wonderful in-house Occupational Health team.

Offering part time hours based on 2 days per week and hours to suit you; whether that’s 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm, we think this is a brilliant role Furthermore, we’d look to support your career development within Occupational Health, providing you with a fully funded opportunity to achieve an Occupational Health Degree or Diploma (may require travel to UK or via distance learning) to become our Occupational Health Advisor at the Belfast site in the future.

Working as part of our Occupational Health team, you’ll work closely with our HR and HSE teams. You’ll be passionate about wellbeing and enjoy building strong relationships with all our colleagues; bringing a positive, encouraging and people-centric approach to your work. You’ll enjoy working as a health and wellbeing ambassador within our business, thrive on working autonomously and proactively supporting in all aspects of Occupational Health.

Key accountabilities include;

* Provide new starter screening for all colleagues to ensure compliance with statutory and company standards.

* Conduct risk related health surveillance and health screening medicals in accordance with both legislation and Hovis OH and Wellbeing policies and procedures.

* Provide the site(s) with health data analysis based on health surveillance to support compliance, trend risk, prioritise local prevention activities and contribute to companywide policy development.

* Provide advice on individual health issues and promote health education within the workplace to maximise colleague understanding. Actively encourage and support colleagues to participate in Health and Wellbeing initiatives to prevent the onset of long-term conditions which could impact colleague absence and performance.

* Conduct routine risk assessment e.g. DSE/Pregnancy, and reports in line with location requirements to monitor compliance to legislation and company standards.

* Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up to date information in line with legal, professional and site requirements. Ensure the safekeeping of all confidential medical records, in accordance with the Company’s GDPR guidelines and ensure auditable information is in place.

The Essentials

* You are registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

* You have clinical experience of at least 2 years

* You are able to effectively use Microsoft Office
