Planning Manager

Location: Edenbridge
Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, 5pm finish on Fridays

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and organised Planning & Office (Production) Manager to join a thriving company in Edenbridge. As the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Print & Finishing programme and team, developing production schedules, estimating material and labour requirements, resolving production issues, compiling reports, and assisting with general account management and customer enquiries.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Managing the Print programme and team (3)
Developing production schedules to meet deadlines
Estimating material, equipment, and labour requirements
Resolving production issues to minimise delays
Compiling status and performance reports for management
Estimating potential work
Ordering consumables and controlling board stock
Assisting the production team as needed
Quality checking products and passing jobs
Assessing material size
Organising delivery of goods and raising delivery notes with the warehouse
Data entry into production software and reconciliation
Booking in production jobs
Requesting quotations, processing outwork schedules, and raising purchase orders
Handling customer NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), investigation, and resolution
Dealing with machine manufacturers and suppliersSkills Required:

Relevant and proven experience in Production Planning / Scheduling / Manufacturing / FMCG / Commercial background due to the level of responsibility required
Ability to liaise with clients and manage relationships with key clients
Supervisory skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in data entry and production software
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
