Scientific Lead

The Scientific Lead position is based with a leading pharmaceutical organisation and will be a fundamental part of their Medical Communications team.
Core responsibilities include:
- Leading the review of the medical & scientific communication plans – ensuring that all stakeholder requirements are met.
- Driving scientific excellence across all deliverables – including publications, advisory boards, slide decks and symposia.
- Training and mentoring the wider Medical Writing team.
- Creating and developing scientific and education content/materials.
- Ensuring all medical communications activities are delivered within the agreed budget.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- 5+ years of experience in an international Medical Communications role – either agency-side (ideally Scientific Director level) or in-house within the pharmaceutical industry.
- A track record of developing medical communication plans – with experience across a variety of deliverables such as publications, advisory boards, slide decks and symposia.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead on projects and support/mentor wider team members.
- A University degree, or equivalent qualification, in a relevant Scientific subject.
