The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented Private Client Solicitor to join this prestigious team. The successful candidate will handle a high-quality caseload covering all aspects of private client law, including but not limited to:

  • Wills drafting and estate planning
  • Trust creation, administration, and management
  • Inheritance tax planning
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney matters
  • Advising high-net-worth individuals and families, often with cross-border elements

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including entrepreneurs, business owners, and international clients, ensuring that their wealth is structured and protected efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of private client matters
  • Providing strategic advice on estate planning and wealth preservation
  • Handling complex probate and estate administration cases
  • Drafting and reviewing wills, trusts, and associated legal documents
  • Collaborating with tax advisors and financial planners to provide a holistic service to clients
  • Engaging in business development activities to grow the department’s client base

Requirements

  • Previous experience at a well-regarded law firm
  • Expertise in advising high-net-worth clients on estate planning and tax-efficient wealth structuring
  • Experience with complex wills, trusts, probate, and inheritance tax planning
  • Exceptional client management and communication skills
  • STEP membership (or working towards it) is highly desirable
  • Strong business development skills with a proactive approach to networking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
