Exciting In-House Legal Role – Commercial, IP & Compliance Focus

Are you a talented UK-qualified solicitor with a flair for navigating the complex world of commercial contracts, intellectual property, and compliance? We’re looking for a dynamic lawyer to join a growing legal team across the UK.

What You’ll Do:

  • Advise on a wide range of commercial issues, from procurement and research partnerships to business development and marketing.
  • Review and draft contracts, NDAs, IP agreements, and real estate documents.
  • Lead efforts on compliance matters, including anti-bribery, modern slavery, data protection, and export control.
  • Provide training to staff on legal risk areas, empowering non-legal teams to understand and apply compliance best practices.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the UK and EU, identifying and addressing regional legal issues.
  • Stay ahead of legal and business risks, providing proactive advice on changes in laws affecting the business.

What You’ll Bring:

  • UK-qualified solicitor with 2-4 years of post-SQE experience, ideally in tech-focused law or in-house roles.
  • Expertise in UK commercial law, statutory compliance, and IP (patents, copyright, trade secrets).
  • A clear communicator, able to simplify complex legal matters.
  • Strong drafting skills with the ability to adapt existing templates or create new ones as required.
  • A commercial mindset, understanding how legal decisions impact business operations.
  • Solid academic credentials from a top-tier university.
