Our client provides, innovative fully managed solutions within the automotive fleet management sector. Due to the expansion of the business creating several exciting new projects, they have an opportunity for a Project Manager, initially on a 6-month contract which will possibly extend to 1 year.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of client-side and customer technology projects, with a wide focus across all our ERP/CRM platforms. Working closely with internal development and delivery teams and external partners, you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard, bringing rigger and process to the project and management processes, whilst maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, including setting objectives, defining scope, and establishing timelines.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure projects are viable and aligned with organisational goals.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to plans, budgets, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing deviations from the plan.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimise impact on project outcomes.
- Develop and implement contingency plans as needed.
- Facilitate issue resolution by coordinating with team members and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including team members, sponsors, and external partners.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports, updates, and presentations.
- Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed and aligned with project goals.
- Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring financial discipline and cost control.
- Monitor and report on project expenses, identifying areas for cost optimisation.
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.
- Address quality issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and problem-solving.
- Provide guidance, support, and feedback to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Coordinate project closure activities, including documentation and lessons learned.
- Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate project success and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement changes based on lessons learned to enhance future project outcomes.
Key Skills and Technical Expertise required:
- 5 years’ experience in a Project Management role or relevant background.
- Strong leadership and motivation
- Effective Communication, ability to clearly communicate project plans, progress, and issues to stakeholders
- Ability to hold teams to account and drive objectives
- Adaptability and Flexibility, adapt to changing project requirements
- Managing risk, proficient in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risk
- Resource and Budget Management: Experienced in managing project resources, including personnel, materials, and budget, to ensure efficient use and cost control
- Organisational and Time management, highly organised with exceptional time management skills ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Experience of using digital Project Management tools, MS Project or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of common IT software (Power BI, Word, Excel, E Mail, Visio, Internet)
- Analytical and problem solving oriented.
- A Level or equivalent further education/ University course in relevant subjects relating to Project Management
