About the Role

This is a rare and outstanding opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Director to lead the development of a nationwide ecology division within a stable and well-established consultancy. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the team, overseeing major projects, and driving commercial growth.

The position offers the perfect balance of professional support, financial rewards, and career progression, with a clear pathway to senior directorship and profit share.

About You

We’re seeking a dynamic leader who is ready to take on a new challenge and make a significant impact. The ideal candidate will be:

  • An accomplished Director, Technical Director, or Associate Director of Ecology , with extensive experience in ecology consultancy, including managing major projects and teams.
  • Commercially ambitious and technically excellent, with a proven ability to deliver results.
  • A genuine team player, confident in mentoring junior staff and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A member of CIEEM or an equivalent body, ideally with Chartered Ecologist status or working towards it.

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Several years of experience at Associate Director or Director level in a UK-based commercial or planning-focused ecology consultancy.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK ecological consultancy practices, including project leadership and client management.
  • A proven track record of leading successful teams and delivering complex projects.
