Leveraged Finance Associate 3-5 PQE - US Firm, London

Our client, the London office of a US-headquartered firm is looking to add an exceptional Finance Associate to support their premium European finance team.

The team has a strong focus on advising private equity sponsors on a range of complex financing matters. The team has deep expertise in leveraged finance, including Term Loan B (TLB), second lien financings, holdco PIK debt, and bond issuances. In addition, they regularly advise portfolio companies on ongoing financing requirements, as well as fund sponsors and debt funds on fund-level financing solutions such as subscription lines and NAV lines.

As part of this highly regarded team, you will work on sophisticated leveraged finance transactions, advising private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and debt funds. Your role will involve structuring, negotiating, and executing a variety of financing arrangements, including syndicated loans, private credit transactions, and fund-level financings. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the firm’s international offices, gaining exposure to high-value cross-border deals.

This position attracts a market-leading salary and quality of work, and selection for this role will be rigorous. In order to be considered, you will most likely have:

  • 3-5 years’ PQE with strong experience in leveraged finance from a top-tier law firm;
  • Expertise in structuring and negotiating TLB, second lien financings, PIK debt, and bond issuances;
  • Experience advising private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and/or debt funds;
  • Strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage complex transactions; and
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with excellent communication and client-facing skills.
