Job Description:
As a PE Teacher at our school, you will inspire and engage students through dynamic lessons and create a positive, motivating environment for physical education. You will deliver high-quality teaching and contribute to the development of students both inside and outside the classroom. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about sports and physical education, and committed to enhancing students' physical, mental, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver PE lessons across key stages 3 and 4, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning.
  • Plan and prepare lessons that are engaging and challenging for all ability levels.
  • Foster an inclusive environment, encouraging students to reach their full potential.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular activities, including sports clubs and events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
  • Contribute to the schools wider sporting community and culture.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the PE department and the wider school.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
  • Passion for physical education and the ability to inspire students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues and students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
