Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work at heights safely. The Roofer will collaborate with other tradespeople and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.

Duties

  1. Install roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, and flat roofing products.
  2. Repair and replace damaged roofs, ensuring proper sealing and waterproofing.
  3. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing roofing materials.
  4. Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
  5. Perform heavy lifting and manoeuvre materials safely on-site.
  6. Fabricate roofing components as needed to fit specific designs or repairs.
  7. Work alongside carpenters and masons when required to ensure structural integrity.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
  9. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues before they escalate.

Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience in roofing or a related field. Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not essential. A background in carpentry or masonry will also be beneficial. The ability to plumb structures accurately is a plus, as is experience with heavy lifting tasks associated with roofing projects. A commitment to safety practices and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £50.00-£155.27 per day
