We are looking for a dedicated NVQ Assessor to join our growing team at Phoenix Health and Safety, part of Wilmington Plc.

As we continue to expand, we need an experienced professional to assess and support learners working towards their Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

If you have a passion for guiding individuals through their qualifications and maintaining high-quality standards, we want to hear from you.

Job Purpose, Tasks and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Assessing the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Conducting Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) on other assessors’ work.
  • Providing ongoing support to delegates, ensuring they complete their qualification in a timely manner.
  • Conducting regular progress reviews and meetings with delegates.
  • Maintaining accurate records of delegate progress.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met across all assessments.
  • Collaborating with the NVQ Manager to address any concerns or improvements.
  • Staying up to date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Promoting a culture of health and safety within the learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An Assessors Qualification.
  • CertIOSH status.
  • A Level 6 Health and Safety qualification.
  • Experience in hands-on health and safety management.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems and learning management software.
  • An IQA Qualification or willingness to work towards it.

To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and critical thinking skills.
