Reeson Education is collaborating with a dedicated SEMH school in Wythenshawe to recruit an experienced and passionate SEMH English Teacher. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
Key Responsibilities for the SEMH English teacher:
- Deliver tailored English lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEMH requirements.
- Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to address the holistic development of each student.
- Implement effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
Qualifications and Experience for the SEMH English teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching English, preferably within an SEMH or SEN setting.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH needs and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
