Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Mathematics department across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
Develop and deliver innovative and engaging lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of students.
Support and mentor staff within the department, promoting best practices in teaching and learning.
Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise achievement and close attainment gaps.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and aspirational culture within the department and across the school.
Stay abreast of curriculum changes and integrate modern teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
Engage with parents, carers, and stakeholders to communicate student progress and celebrate successes.
Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in Mathematics or a closely related field.
Experience teaching Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5, with evidence of excellent outcomes.
Proven leadership or middle-management experience in a school setting (desirable).
Deep knowledge of the national curriculum and the ability to design engaging, challenging lessons.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
A commitment to safeguarding, continuous professional development, and maintaining high standards in teaching.
Newly qualified teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply, as the school offers a robust induction program.
