Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople in the construction of buildings and other structures.
- Perform general site maintenance, including cleaning and organising materials.
- Load and unload materials and equipment from lorries.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support the installation of structures such as scaffolding, frameworks, and roofing.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Report any issues or hazards to supervisors promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 25 kg).
- Understanding of basic construction terminology and practices is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on various tasks as required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.50-£16.87 per hour
Expected hours: 60 per week
