Responsibilities:THE ROLE
The Small Works Coordinator for Safety, Security, Network, IOT and 5G Systems will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of small-scale system projects. The role involves managing a portfolio of installations, upgrades for systems, ensuring they meet client needs and industry standards. This position requires excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a strong understanding of security and safety technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Project Coordination: Manage and coordinate small-scale security and safety system projects from inception to completion. This includes CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, fire alarms, and other safety systems including Network, IOT and 5G.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication regarding project timelines, specifications, and requirements. Provide updates on progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Scheduling and Resource Allocation: Plan and schedule work for technicians and contractors, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of installations and ensure that all safety and security systems are installed and functioning according to the specified design and regulatory standards.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant health, safety, and industry regulations. Arrange site surveys and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of all projects, including timelines, budgets, client feedback, and compliance with safety regulations. Prepare regular progress reports for management.
- Budget Management: Assist with managing project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints, and tracking expenses related to materials, labor, and other resources.
- Team Support and Development: Work with technical teams and subcontractors to ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools, materials, and information. Offer guidance and support as needed to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
- Post-Installation Support: Ensure that completed projects meet customer expectations and offer post-installation support as necessary, including system testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
- Sales and Quotations: Providing accurate quotations in a timely manner and submit within 7 days of request.
To succeed in the role, the following skills, knowledge and attributes are key:
- Project Management: Strong experience in managing small-scale projects, particularly within safety and security systems. Must possess the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure, to maintain productivity in line with project deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams incorporating team building skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address potential challenges during project execution, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure projects are completed to a high standard, with an emphasis on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience: Proven experience in coordinating small works or similar roles within the security, construction, or safety industries. Excellent Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
- Knowledge of Security Systems: Familiarity with the installation and maintenance of safety and security systems, including CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and fire alarms including Network, IOT and 5G.
