TekAlloy are proud to be working with several leading engineering and manufacturing businesses in our area.
They are looking for Maintenance and Servicing Engineers to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis. Joining a team of long servers and some highly skilled Engineers, the successful person will build and assemble complex pieces of machinery.
Overtime available paid at enhanced rates
Duties:
- Working as part of a fitting team to build machinery from individual components.
- Assisting with hydraulic pipework when required.
- Kitting and mechanical build of manufactured and bought-out parts into sub-assemblies.
- Maintenance of buildings or machinery if required.
- Actively pursue continuous improvements in assembly methods and techniques and make recommendations for their implementation when appropriate.
- Safe use of lifting equipment for moving and fitting large components and sub-assemblies (up to 40 Tonnes).
- Safe use of machinery (such as forklift trucks, cherry pickers, and scissor lifts).
- Working at heights whilst observing health and safety requirements.
- Ensuring that assembly work is effectively carried out to high-quality standards.
- Observe and comply with health & safety requirements at all times.
- Maintain tidiness in the workplace and good standards of housekeeping.
- Take care of company measuring equipment and report on any items out of calibration.
- Participate in training and/or mentoring of other employees when required.
- Be willing to learn new duties outside the normal function.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
