  • Conducting own cases as well as assisting other fee-earners in providing advice and representation to the company’s clients.
  • Promoting the services of the Commercial Disputes team internally and externally. Taking a proactive approach and developing a fee-paying client base.
  • Carrying out duties in a professional manner, complying with relevant professional standards and any requirement set by relevant regulating bodies including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Law Society of England and Wales.
  • Developing and maintaining the competencies necessary to provide a proper standard of service to clients and maintaining a record of professional development.
  • Participating in projects to develop, improve and optimise services, both as part of our continuously evolving product range and also in response to changes in the law affecting clients.
  • Supporting the Legal Manager representing, supervising, and managing junior team members work as appropriate.

Required skills:

This role would be ideal for candidates from a general Commercial Disputes /litigation background, who are comfortable in dealing with (among other types of matters): breach of contract claims; shareholder and partnership, breaches of company administration requirements and directors’ duties; breach of confidence; professional negligence and fraud.

They will also:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor or Equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years PQE.
  • Have experience working in a busy, reputable Commercial Disputes team within a well recognised practice.
  • Have experience dealing with a large, varied, and complex case load.

  • Have experience identifying and developing new business opportunities and relationships.
  • Have working knowledge of IT systems such as Word, Outlook, case management systems (ideally Salesforce) and digital dictation systems.
