Main duties of the job
What you'll be responsible for:
- Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual.
- Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients.
- Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies.
- Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines.
- Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards.
- Undertake regular mandatory training.
- The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

- To be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team.
- To participate in the assessment of patient care needs implementing and maintaining agreed standards of care.
- Following Codes of Professional Practice provide high quality care to patients undergoing treatment within the Peri-Operative Environment.
What you'll need:
- Have a minimum of 6 months experience as a Registered Nurse in Theatres.
- Registered with NMC.
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
