Secondary History Teacher

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join our dedicated and successful History department at a leading school in Plymouth. The school focusses on creating learners with a high willingness to learn, supporting them throughout primary and secondary settings. The low student count of 96, has created a community feel which is conducive to learning, enabling stronger bonds to form between people at the school and their teachers. The school is also easily accessible by public transport.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality History lessons to students of all abilities, from KS3 to KS5.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience of teaching History to students of all abilities or a degree in a History related subject
  • A passion for teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to motivate and engage students

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the department, and to work with a supportive and collaborative team of colleagues.
