Job Description

Mechanical Engineer – Industrial Doors

Location – Bristol

Hybrid Opportunity – 2-3 days in the office

Permanent Opportunity Only

As an Industrial Doors Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be the bedrock supporting the Contract Engineering Lead at Hinkley Point C. From issuing technical specs, steering study progress, and addressing overarching technical challenges, to managing interface relations and assuring timely document deliveries from various entities, your role will be central. Each modification’s impact on quantities, technical documents, and their alignment with LDRC will be under your purview, ensuring the project’s smooth progression.

My profile

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in the design of industrial doors vital for large-scale projects such as Hinkley Point C. Your knowledge should include a deep understanding of mechanical interfaces and a proven track record in crafting specifications for industrial doors, such as blast, shielding, and watertight doors. A background in nuclear regulations and familiarity with contracts like NEC/FIDIC, while absolutely not mandatory, would certainly enhance your candidacy.
