We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join us as the Head of Operational Learning and Professionalism, where you will focus on maximising the use of our resources to further develop our operational training offering so we continue to deliver a service that maintains and develops competencies of our firefighters. You will be responsible for supporting the continued future development of operational training, ensuring our people uphold the highest standards of training, learning and professionalism when delivering their roles.
Lead the transformation of the Technical Training and professionalism team delivering hundreds of learning events to thousands of firefighters each year, ensuring . Monitor, review and engage with policies, procedures, investigations and audits to ensure compliance operational training requirements. Delivery of high quality and timely management information, data and analytics on all aspects of learning & development activity across the organisation, to ensure that an effective service is being delivered and to inform future development. Create innovative new blended learning across face to face and digital platforms.
Knowledge and experience delivering training and managing teams delivering training Ability to plan and prioritise work activities to respond to dynamic issues as well as set deadlines The leadership skills to guide, support and motivate colleagues The ability to lead the development and oversee the implementation of a culture of continuous learning and development across Operational roles and learning, aligned with the requirements of strategic plans.
