An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 specialist Podiatrist to join Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP) on a permanent basis. 5 hours available, and are open to applicants wanting part time or full time or flexible working within an 8am-5pm working day.


Work Base: Central Cheshire Community clinics. You will be expected to travel to different settings across the trust's geographical footprint.


CCICP supports staff and service development and prioritises the wellbeing of its staff with excellent access to resources and support. We also pride ourselves in staff development and training to ensure the ongoing maintenance of high standards within the workforce.
To act as a Clinical Specialist in the Podiatry Service, to undertake triage, assessment and treatment of referred patients.


Please note, we are primarily a wound care team and all specialist Podiatrist within CCICP are expected to undertake wound care clinics.


To support the Team Managers and Advanced Clinical Specialists in the day to day running of the clinics and to assist in service improvement initiatives in area of work.


To support the education and development of Podiatrists, Podiatry Assistants, Podiatry Apprentices and external Podiatry students on placement.

To develop and maintain good working relationships with other healthcare professions, social care and other appropriate agencies, to ensure integrated and high quality patient outcomes.


To maintain accurate documentation in line with professional standards, and local policies and procedures.


To record and submit clinical activity data as required by the Trust in an accurate and timely manner.


To be responsible for safe and competent use of equipment including the provision of support, education and training to other staff, patients and carers as required.


To be an active member of an evening and weekend on-call rota or rostered service, dependant on service need.
Podiatry Professional degree/ diploma
Communication skills training
Clinical educator training
Degree level Post graduate education relevant to specialist area/ or be working towards this
Be prepared to work towards degree level post graduate education relevant to specialist area
Commitment to quality and safety
Car Driver
Ability to lead junior Colleagues
Audit skills ( not necessarily related to healthcare)
Full UK driving licence
Awareness of the national and local priorities and changing trends in specialist areas
To have a specific interest and commitment to a specialist area ( wound care, nail surgery, MSK) as evidenced by CPD portfolio and post graduate training
