We have a role available for individuals with a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail. As a Trainee Fabricator, you will have the chance to learn from our experienced team and develop your skills in metal fabrication. This is a great chance to join a growing company and become part of a dynamic team that values innovation and creativity. Upon successful completion of the 3 month contract, role will become permanent. The initial pay is £11.44 per hour, and there are opportunities for overtime with increased rates. Overtime Rates: Weekdays: 125% Base Pay Saturdays: 150% Base Pay Sundays: 200% Base Pay DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work productively and safely in compliance with our systems of work
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping
- Minimise waste by using materials and consumable items efficiently
- Fitting and assembly skills including the use of hand tools and marking out
- Maintain good levels of workmanship and traceability
- Measurement and inspection techniques using a variety of equipment
- Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when required
- Able to understand technical drawings, and apply technical information
- Able to adeptly learn the context of a challenge and quickly integrate new skills
- Able to identify and install improvements that are effective in achieving excellent quality, cost reduction and productivity improvements
- Be quick to identify critical information and respond appropriately
- Efficient at communicating through all levels of an organisation
- Able to apportion time effectively to complete tasks
- Flexible and willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done
- Will be energised by challenges and drawn towards opportunities
