We are seeking a talented and passionate Art Teacher to join our team supporting schools in Didsbury and surrounding areas. As an Art Teacher, you will inspire students to explore their creativity, develop their artistic skills, and express themselves through various media and techniques.
Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and innovative Art lessons, covering a range of disciplines such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to experiment, take risks, and develop their unique artistic voice.
Introduce students to a variety of art historical movements, styles, and cultural influences, fostering an appreciation for the diversity of artistic expression across time and place.
Provide instruction in fundamental art techniques and principles, while also encouraging students to explore their own ideas and interpretations through independent and collaborative projects.
Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources, including studio-based work, digital media, and visits to galleries and exhibitions, to engage students in hands-on learning experiences.
Assess student progress through ongoing formative assessments and periodic summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development and achievement in Art.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas for enhancing the teaching and learning of Art across the school.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification, specialising in Art or Fine Arts.
Relevant degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
Experience teaching Art at the secondary level is preferred.
Willingness to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular art activities and events.
