As part of their continued expansion in the region, they are seeking a talented Chartered Building Surveyor (Senior or Associate level).

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Carry out building and site surveys.
  • Compile detailed condition surveys and reports.
  • Prepare schedules of work and specifications.
  • Lead project management and contract administration duties.
  • Diagnose building defects using building pathology principles.
  • Produce drawings using AutoCAD (not essential but advantageous).
  • Manage quality control processes to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Handle Party Wall instructions and liaise with clients effectively.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives to expand the regional division.

  • Be a chartered member of a relevant professional body (e.g., MRICS, CIOB).
  • Have demonstrable experience in building surveying services, with the ability to work across multiple disciplines.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • Be self-driven, adaptable, and committed to contributing to the team’s growth.
  • Be willing to travel across the North East as required.
