Director of Clinical Services, Nightingale House Hospice, Wrexham

Are you an innovative, energetic and motivational leader looking for a new challenge? Experts2care are working closely with Nightingale House Hospice, an independent charitable Hospice in the Wrexham area. They have a rare opportunity for a Director of Clinical Services to join the executive team and take the lead on full clinical delivery and governance. The Director of Clinical Services contributes to Nightingale House Hospice corporate management agenda by providing strong strategic, professional and clinical leadership for all aspects of nursing and allied health professionals, in demonstrating care, compassion and respect for patients, carers and staff and is a member of the Executive Team. Working closely with other function leaders you will lead and support the multi-disciplinary clinical team to deliver against their strategic plan. The Hospice is well established and provide services for individuals and their families who are living with a diagnosis of a life-limiting illness. With increasing demand for services, the hospice has now completed a 2 million modernisation and refurbishment programme to broaden access to hospice care while maintaining high standards of delivery. This is the chance for an ambitious and professional, Nurse qualified leader to join the Hospice at an exciting time after their refurbishment, to continue to energise the patient services and maintain the high standards and clinical delivery moving forward. You will also be the Registered Manager and Caldicott Guardian of the Hospice.

What you'll do:

Working closely with the Board, Executive team and clinical team you will develop, deliver and report upon strategy, business plans and policies supporting provision of the highest standards of care.

You will take responsibility for the full clinical team and any HR matters working closely with the HR team including recruitment, supervision, support, development, service delivery, appraisal, communication, collaboration and professional standards.

You will take part in budget setting and deliver clinical services within agreed budgets.

Provide professional leadership at all times.

Take responsibility for clinical governance.

What you'll bring:

Prior experience within a leadership role, preferably in a Hospice setting.

Nursing qualification and PIN.

Previous experience in Palliative care/Oncology ideally.

Experience of delivering teaching/training.

Ability to complete detailed reports and implement detailed procedures.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.
