Here’s what you’ll be doing: Design Excellence: Conduct structural design of submarine components, ensuring compliance with safety factors and load cases. Analytical Insight: Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assess the integrity and performance of submarine systems. Collaborative Spirit: Work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to create integrated system solutions. Compliance Champion: Compile evidence to demonstrate adherence to functional, safety, and performance requirements. Reporting Guru: Prepare and review detailed design and analysis reports, including analytical structural calculations. Your Skills and Experience: We’re looking for someone with a passion for engineering and a proven track record. Here’s what you’ll need: Design Expertise: Experience in designing rotating machinery, including gears, shafts, bearings, and couplings. Analytical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in heat exchangers and structural components. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with industry-standard design tools and relevant codes like PD5500 and ASME. Lifecycle Understanding: A solid grasp of the engineering lifecycle from concept to end-of-life disposal.
