Metallurgical Technician

A Test House in Sheffield is actively seeking a dedicated Metallurgical Technician to join their team, offering a competitive salary of £32,600 per annum. This position presents a unique working pattern, operating on a three-weekly cycle that includes both day and night 12-hour shifts, ensuring ample time for personal pursuits and a balanced lifestyle. The Role:

• Undertake a variety of tests that include metallographic and mechanical techniques
• Providing test results to the highest standard to both internal and external customers.
• Maintaining accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
• Support investigations from other business functions
• Engage with Health and Safety teams/departments.
• Ensure that safe working practices are always adhered to

• HNC level or equivalent in Metallurgy / Materials
• Must be able to use MS Office 365 applications confidently
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and interpreting test results.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
