Long Term Contract

Gain Education are currently working with a wonderful school in Redhill, Surrey who are seeking a confident and energetic Teaching Assistant to support, guide and nurture their KS1 children.

The school are offering a full time, long term contract and are looking for someone to start ASAP for the rest of the academic year. The position also has a strong possibility to move into a full time, permanent contract with the school.

This Primary Teaching Assistant role will give you the opportunity to gain more classroom experience whilst being a confident, dedicated and hard-working role model. Alongside the teaching staff, you will help children with their learning and ensure the highest standards of care, support and welfare for all pupils both inside and outside of the classroom.

To thrive in this Primary Teaching Assistant role you must have:

  • A positive, caring, energetic, can-do attitude
  • The ability to monitor and record a childs progress
  • An understanding of safeguarding children
  • A genuine interest in aiding childrens development

Primary Teaching Assistant duties include:

  • Assisting the class teacher
  • Communicating with parents
  • Caring and looking after children during break times and lunch times
  • Supervising children during activities
  • Motivating children and being an excellent role model
Eligibility for this Primary Teaching Assistant position:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered on the update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Two professional references

The school is based in a lovely town in Surrey, easily accessible from London and surrounding towns. They have a good car park and are easily accessible by public transport.

The teaching staff at this school are incredibly friendly and supportive and will always be on hand for advice and guidance.

The successful primary teaching assistant will ideally have past experience but personality and energy and a can-do attitude will be favoured regardless of academic background or past experience for this role.
