Summary:
Working under supervision, the role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical or electrical issues, as well as conducting preventive maintenance on equipment following manufacturer's guidelines.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs entry to mid-level break-fix & preventative maintenance, such as adjusting functional parts, repairing defective components, and reconditioning machine tools.
  • Identifies necessary parts, supplies, and repair items.
  • Offers support to team members and assists in departmental tasks as required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Maintenance Industry Standards and ensures compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities to enhance processes, achieve results, and save costs.
  • May operate simple machining operations and conduct basic welding tasks.
  • Updates records and reviews CMMS history for accurate documentation.
  • Conducts basic troubleshooting of control systems circuitry.
  • Engages in technical self-study programs for ongoing career development.
  • Adheres to all safety policies, regulations, and guidelines while maintaining situational awareness and promoting a safe work environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Associates degree with a Technical focus or 18 months of related experience in the industry.
  • Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems and proficiency in repairs.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools effectively.

When performing job duties, the employee is required to engage in various physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and lifting. The employee must possess good vision and may be exposed to loud, factory environments with potential hazards.
