£13.00 per hour On behalf of our client, a leading distribution center based in Kilsby, we are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Chef to join their dynamic team. Role Overview: As an Assistant Chef at the distribution center, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen facilities. Working closely with Head Chef, you will assist in preparing and cooking delicious meals for staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the Head Chef in food preparation and cooking, following set recipes and guidelines. Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. Assisting with stock control and inventory management. Providing assistance during busy periods and fostering a positive team environment. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Chef or Assistant Chef in a similar role is preferred. Strong culinary skills and a passion for cooking. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to changing work schedules.
